Je n'ai fait que la soirée du 5 novembre. Et je ne suis pas doué pour faire des reviews... M'enfin je résumerai ça ainsi : woaw.

Justin a débarqué seul pour nous jouer Better Than Them puis rejoint par Dean pour Turn Away et Dawn. Une excellente mise en bouche.
Je suis content d'avoir pu entendre des bijoux comme Drummy B et Higher Wall. Ca a fait plaisir aussi d'entendre des titres peu communs comme Courage, Brother, No Sense...

Bref, un très bon moment mais d'un autre côté, je n'ai jamais passé de mauvais moment à un concert de NMA. \o/

Ah, et l'acoustique était vraiment excellente et la configuration de la salle très sympa. Je n'étais encore jamais allé au Trabendo et j'espère que j'aurai l'occasion d'y retourner.

Et, j'ai fini par craquer et j'ai précommandé le kikoo-boxset avec plein de trucs pour hardcore-fans dedans.

NMA Tour And Album Announcement

New Model Army have finally announced the title of their hotly anticipated 12th Studio album - “Between Dog and Wolf”. The self-produced set was finished earlier this year in Los Angeles with Joe Barresi mixing, (Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Tool). The album is scheduled for release in September.

Justin Sullivan says:
“After a series of purist ‘rock-band-in-a-room’ albums over the last eight years, we felt it was time to do something a bit different and sonically this is the best album we’ve ever made. The title comes from a medieval French expression for dusk – when it’s hard to distinguish between dog and wolf, friend or foe. That sense of contradiction represents the band very well and there’s also something of this sense of transformation in the album”.

Meanwhile the feature-film documentary on the history of the band directed by Royal Television Society Award winning Director Matt Reid, which has been over 3 years in the making, is in the final stages of editing for release in September, coinciding with the album.

To celebrate its release the band are proud to announce their biggest tour since the 30th anniversary shows. “It’s always good to be back on the road – and the current atmosphere in the band is the most hungry and upbeat that I can remember. We’re really looking forward to this.”

J'ai reçu l'album lundi soir. Je n'ai eu le temps de l'écouter que deux fois mais je ne suis pas déçu du tout. Ils ont été forts sur ce coup parce qu'ils ont réussi à faire quelque chose de différent tout en gardant ce petit quelque chose qui les caractérisent.

Bref, un bon album que je conseille vivement à ceux qui les suivent un peu, de près ou de loin.

J'ai beaucoup écouté l'album depuis que je l'ai reçu. Très beau livre-disque, soit dit au passage, avec de magnifiques illustrations de Joolz (et dédicacé par le groupe).
L'album est très bon, mais plutôt en retenue. Il n'y a pas d'hymnes accrocheurs et scandés comme ont pu en fournir NMA durant toute leur carrière.
