Coleman a beaucoup de projets en vue, un album solo, un livre et la BO d'une série TV. L'album solo devrait sortir la semaine prochaine. Le chanteur a nié avoir posté un message sur le facebook du groupe, affirmant que Killing Joke se retirait de la tournée avec The Cult et The Mission, même s'il estime que le groupe n'est peut être plus apte à remplir ce contrat suite à ce faux post.
Killing Joke devait partir en tournée avec The Cult et The Mission en septembre. |

Killing Joke celebrate their 35th anniversary in style, commencing in 2013 with the release of 'The Singles Collection 1979-2012' on April 15th and a world tour starting in Europe in March . This important year will also see the band release a new studio album.
With a fierce intelligence plus a thirst for esoteric knowledge that matches a music that is visceral and almost spiritual in its primal spirit, Killing Joke are like no other band. This is a group who came out of punk and then set out on one of the most remarkable and idiosyncratic journeys ever.
'The Singles Collection 1979 -2012', on Spinefarm/Universal captures the ever-evolving story with a series of dark, apocalyptic songs, combining disco and funk and a shamanic wisdom with the dark side of the punk fall-out.
Killing Joke with the original line-up of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Youth and Big Paul have signed a brand new deal with Spinefarm/Universal for a 3rd new album with the label. This will see the release of a brand new studio album, which we have already started writing, in late 2013.

Visite d'Anvers, sous le soleil, dégustation de bière et une frite au passage; cette ville est très jolie j'y retournerais en prenant plus de temps!
Je ne parle pas des 1eres parties, j'ai vu que le deuxième groupe, sapé comme des précieux et jouant du bourrin, de bons passages mais bon.
J'étais au 3è rang.
Le son est extrèmement fort, j'ai l'impression que c'est la tendance ou sinon la salle, bien remplie d'ailleurs avec les quelques pogoteurs habituels.
Alors pas déçu, peut être j'espérais davantage de raretés, de titres de Democracy voire pourquoi pas De Hossanas... ça ne sera pas pour ce soir.
Qu'importe, 3 perles valent le déplacement : Whiteout, Money is not our god, The beautiful dead, décidemment convaincantes en live elles méritent vraiiment de revenir sur les setlists plus souvent.
Le Quintet est en grande forme, Jaz sapé en "civil" mais toujours aussi expressif, les zikos semblent heureux de retrouver la scène (aucun pain à signaler) et Geordie bien imprégné mais c'est impressionnant il joue en étant complètement ailleurs.
RDV à Paris, avec qui sait peut être un ou deux titres différent.
Pour une première date de tournée, c'était rodé et explosif.
Les moments forts: Whiteout (Quelle claque ce morceau n'empêche. ) et Beautiful dead!

J'étais au bataclan hier soir et je susi du meme avis que toi , super bon show qui n'avait rien à voir avec la cigale 2012.
Le groupe avait l'air en pleine forme , souriant ...
Bonne ambiance avec un petit peu de pogos .
Surtout content d'entendre des songs pas jouées depuis un long moment.

Follow the Leaders et The Death and Resurrection Show très bonnes surprises par rapport au show d'Anvers.
Oui ça pogotait pas mal face à la scène, le groupe en forme aussi.
Toujours pas de Democracy mais bon, vivement le nouvel album.
Jaz a grossi, détail hein

Recu la compile, plutôt excellente et très intéressante, des singles.
Bien sûr, il manque quelques faces B monumentales (Mass, Afterburner, Universe B) mais c'est un triple CD d'excellente facture.
Je connaissais pas Feast of fools ( qui contient un riff de ce que deviendra Money Drop), Sixth sun (qui devait être une face B du dernier album) mais Timewave si, étant jouée en 2008 si ma mémoire est bonne (au Bataclan, j'y étais) et à l'origine prévue (dixit Jaz à l'époque) pour le nouvel album annoncé à l'époque (qui sera Absolute Dissent , si vous avez bien suivi).
Geordie Walker est une machine à riffs infernaux
